Why I am fundraising for Heartbeat
Last summer, my Dad had major heart surgery at the Wessex Cardiac Unit at Southampton Hospital. While he was in hospital, Heartbeat offered amazing support to my family, especially to my mum who stayed at Heartbeat House throughout.
To raise money for Heartbeat, I am selling a Guernsey ponier à cou (traditional fishing basket).
Heartbeat House - just one of Heartbeat’s charitable services - is a “home from home” adjacent to the hospital, where relatives can stay. Heartbeat House has supported many Guernsey families going through cardiac care. Everyone we met, from NHS staff to Heartbeat House staff and other residents were incredibly supportive. Thank You all!
I will be fundraising from time to time, selling baskets and donating the proceeds to Heartbeat. Heartbeat fundraising goes towards specialised equipment and their many services that help Wessex Cardiac Unit patients and their relatives.
If you’d like to buy this basket, you will be donating £160 to Heartbeat. I will pay the postage to UK or Channel Islands addresses.
